Description

to whom the manufactory owes numerous designs in the Bavarian style

They originate from the original idea of table decorations as conversational pieces: as porcelain objects through which unknown table guests can initiate conversations with each other

10001772 Inspiration to whom the manufactory owesThis elephant named Edward, only 24 cm high, has his trunk raised to the sky. A design by August Ghring from 1936 is one of the manufactory's most successful models. Since 2002 it has been produced not only in underglaze painted but also in bisque porcelain; the matt white surface accentuates the detailed figure particularly well.
